There is one true God.
We believe there is no other God...only Jesus as revealed to us in the flesh from the Scriptures. See Timothy 3:16 KJV that says: "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." See also John 1:1-14 and Deuteronomy 6:4 KJV. There is only one true and living God: Jesus.
Salvation must come from God.
We cannot be saved by man's work or by the doctrines men. In the Bible, to be saved: "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God" (John 3:5 KJV).
We did not create ourselves and so we cannot save ourselves or our souls. Man can help us by preaching or teaching to us the Gospel of Salvation. But they cannot make us repent to receive water baptism for our sins to be forgiven. In the Bible, 2 Corinthians 7:10 KJV says "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death."
Repentance and Water Baptism by Immersion
In the New Testament on the Day of Pentecost with the first outpouring of the Holy Ghost, the Apostle Peter said: "...Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost" (Acts 2:38 KJV). So we know repentance is a must for us to do. Then to be be baptized in water by Immersion is Biblical. That way the entire body is "buried" for the remission of sins to be forgiven as the name of Jesus (not the name of 3 titles) is spoken during baptism. See Acts 10:45-48 and Acts 19: 1-7 KJV.
The Baptism of the Holy Ghost
The Bible says at Acts 19:1-6 KJV "And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied."
And we remember John 3:5 KJV when Jesus said we must be born of the water and the Spirit (i.e. Holy Ghost). So we know the baptism of the Holy Ghost (i.e. Spirit) comes directly from God (not man) as on the Day of Pentecost. Man will help us by doing the water baptism. But God: Jesus alone can give us His Spirit to the saving of our souls.
Holiness and a Holy Life-long Daily Lifestyle
The Bible says: "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14 KJV). And see also 1 Peter 1:15-17 KJV.
In addition, 1 Thessalonians 4:7 KJV says "For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness." While 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Eternal Life
We believe Jesus is coming back. And there are many Scriptures in the Bible that refer to this fact.
John 14:3 KJV says "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
James 1:12 KJV says "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him."
John 5:24 KJV says "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
Matthew 25:46 KJ V says "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."
